Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is one of the three branches of the IMUNA Foundation. The board consists of two student members from the Executive Staff, the Secretary-General and the Financial Manager, as well as teachers of the Murmellius Gymnasium. Within the Board of Directors, the Secretary-General and Financial Manager act as secretary and treasurer respectively.

The Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for the foundation’s day-to-day operations and decision-making. They also aim to provide constructive feedback to the Executive Staff and help set long-term goals and visions, as its members usually stay in their positions for multiple years.

Ms. M.E. Kuipers

Chairman of the Board of Directors

My name is Marina Kuipers and I hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Together with my colleague Robin van Kempen, I am responsible for the appointment of the Secretary-General. In addition, I maintain close contact with the Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General and the Financial Manager throughout the year and oversee the process of establishing IMUNA.

This year I am very proud of the Executive Staff as well and I am confident that IMUNA will become memorable for all participants. During the conference, I am present to answer questions from MUN directors, delegates and participate in the evaluation. I look forward to the conference with great enthusiasm!

Mr. R.S. van Kempen

Member of the Board of Directors

My name is Robin van Kempen, and I am honored to continue serving as a Member of the Board of Directors. As such I will be assisting my colleague, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Marina Kuipers. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, I will be in close contact with the Board of Directors.

Apart from assisting Marina Kuipers, I will be weighing in on the appointment of the Secretary-General as well. During IMUNA, I will be present to help out wherever I can, and to answer any questions that may occur from directors and delegates. This special edition of IMUNA will undoubtedly be one for the books, and I for one, am looking forward to experiencing my first IMUNA as a Member of the Board of Directors.

 

Mr. S.Y. Bakker

Member of the Board of Directors

My name is Sten Bakker, and I am a proud member of the Board of Directors at the IMUNA Foundation. I joined the IMUNA organization in December 2016 as the IMUNA 2017 Housing Coordinator. After the 2017 conference, I became the Financial Manager at IMUNA 2018. After four years on the Board of Advisors, I joined the Board of Directors in June 2022.

As a member of the Board of Directors, I keep in close contact with the members of the Executive Staff. I try to support them as best as I can. During the conference, I will be present to answer questions from participants and to help out wherever I can. I look forward to seeing you all in June at the 30th edition of the IMUNA conference!

Hi! My name is Jip Meereboer and this year I will be fulfilling the role of Secretary-General. I am excited to be in charge of organising the 30th edition of this wonderful conference together with this year’s incredible staff. During the conference, I will be available to help you with anything you might need. I am very much looking forward to welcoming you all in June!
