For this year’s IMUNA, we have chosen the theme “Global Accountability in an Era of Crisis.”

Accountability has long been regarded as a fundamental pillar of justice, stability, and international cooperation. However, in an era marked by overlapping global crises, existing mechanisms for responsibility and enforcement are increasingly challenged.

Recent developments have raised questions about how consistently and effectively accountability is upheld within the international system, particularly when actions involve actors with significant influence. These challenges underline the importance of continued dialogue on strengthening fair and impartial approaches to responsibility.

Through debate, diplomacy, and critical engagement, IMUNA seeks to provide a platform for delegates to examine these issues and explore how global accountability can be reinforced in a rapidly changing world.
